Stop-Motion Scene From The Matrix Created With LEGO
November 28 2009 | film

Talk about impressive. On the eve of the 10th anniversary of The Matrix, Trevor Boyd and Steve Ilett have recreated one of the more impressive scenes from the film using nothing but Legos.

This faithfully recreated scene was shot using stop-motion photography and took the pair approximately 440 hours to plan the shots and complete the film.

The whole scene lasts for just 44 seconds meaning that for every 1 second of footage, approximately 10 hours were devoted to each frame.

You can really see that an incredible amount of attention went into the shots as everything from lighting, focal depth, even continuity errors are reproduced. You can find a TON of info on the project and all that went on to make each shot over at LegoMatrix.
