Capcom Brings Downloadable Content To Resident Evil 5

Capcom has unveiled detailed plans regarding the release of future downloadable content for Resident Evil 5 AE. The online content idea formed when Capcom launched a poll which asked Resident Evil fan how they would like to receive their copy of Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition (i.e., via download or physical disk). |

The fans decided that downloadable content was the way to go and Capcom has listened. The first episode, "Lost in Nightmares', will include a new chapter of action which will focus on Chris and Jill investigating Ozwell E. Spencer's hideaway. "Spencer, the evil mastermind and co-founder of Umbrella Corporation, has been concealing a new evil deep within the basement of his mansion," says Capcom. "Chris and Jill discover this grotesque evil standing in their way as the two enter deeper into the catacombs beneath the mansion." |
Capcom will release the downloadable content for Resident Evil 5 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sometime in Spring 2010.
A boxed copy of the game, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, will be released on March 12th which will feature a disc of extra content for PS3 and a download code for the Xbox 360 title.
